Milepost 41:
[Florida State Line; Leon County]

Six lanes.

Exit here for Tall Timbers Research Station, a nature preserve. This interchange is a simple diamond.

Milepost 35.5

SPUI. The frontage roads begin here.

Milepost 33.5. NB traffic has a continous green.

SPUI. Fourth lane (8 total) added here. Frontage roads go up to two apiece.

SPUI

SPUI. Brand-new Wal-Mart.

SPUI. No, I don't know why it's Ox Bottom Road, and I'm not sure I wanna know...

Milepost 29. Continous green, but NB has to stop.

NB continous green.

The freeway begins...
SPUI. MacClay Gardens State Park is here. Well worth a visit despite the outrageous entrance fee.
Add a fifth lane here. 10 freeway lanes...briefly.

SPUI. The frontage roads end here, as a VERY complex interchange is approaching....

Map of the Exit 27 Complex
VERY complex. Click on the map.
Yep, it's a THREE lane drop.

Next, an on-ramp from Exit 27D, CR-0352. It becomes a brief auxiliary lane for:

[EXIT 27A: Raymond Diehl Rd]
Weird "Three-Quarters SPUI", with no NB on-ramp. No access from Exit 27B/C either...
You go back up to three lanes here The frontage roads re-start here.

SPUI.

SPUIs rule!

SPUI. A hospital down the road from this exit...

...and another at this one. SPUI.

SPUI. Take this exit for Miccosukee Greenway Park and the Goodwood Museum.

SPUI.

Milepost 23: The bridge goes over the CSX rail line as well.

Exit here for Tom Brown Park. Three-quarter-diamond, due to the fact there's a National Guard Armory
on the NE corner of the intersection, and who would ask them to move?

Exit here to reach Tom Brown Park. Or, alternatively, to go to jail, as the Federal Correctional
Institution - Club Fed - is right here. SPUI.

The road to the State Capitol. SPUI, again.

SPUI.

SPUI.

The great amoeba, brought to you by the St Joe Company.

SPUI. The southern end of this route, which, when completed, will roughly scribe a
"C" over eastern Tallahassee.

Two half-diamonds in opposite directions:

SPUI. The frontage roads go back down to one lane apiece.

[EXIT 15: FL-363 Woodville/St Marks]
SPUI. Exit here for the Tallahassee-St Marks Rail Trail and the St Marks Nat'l Wildlife Refuge.

Take this exit for Wakulla Springs State Park, and the Leon Sinks Geological Area.

Milepost 12.5

SPUI. Access to the National Forest and the Lost Lake Recreation Area. Cramped on the SW by the airport
and on the SE by the sewer plant, one of Tallahassee's premier birding destinations (I kid you not!).

A diamond, brought to you by the St Joe Company.

Diamond. Welcome to FSU country! 2205 is NB only; SB is the Weather Service
radar and a cemetery.

Milepost 11: yep, the airport's in the forest. Here the road bends from Southbound, to Eastbound...

[Exit 10B, Regional Airport/Ivan Munroe Terminal]
[Exit 10A, Regional Airport/General Aviation, 1/4 mile]

Exit 10B is the main airport access, at least if you want the hassle of the airlines. Fly a private plane,
as you should, and you take Exit 10A. The terminal access is one-way in. The first exit is from the parking lots;
the second, from the terminal itself.

Milepost 9: We hope you enjoyed your stay...

A diamond interchange. Take this exit to get to the Tallahassee Museum.
Auxiliary lane between Exits 9 and 7

SPUI.

Auxiliary lanes between Exits 6 and 5.

Did I mention I like SPUIs? Two-lane (one-way) frontage roads N of here.

SPUI. This is the last interchange to provide direct access to the heart of Tallahassee.

SPUI. This exit provides access to Home Depot...

... and this one to Lowe's. Frontage roads go back down to one lane apiece.

A stack; the south side is a little complex due to the close proximity of the following interchange.
Third lane drop at this interchange.

Diamond. A bit of an oddity; to the east it's CR-0356, to the west, an unpaved private drive.

Diamond.

A diamond interchange.

Milepost 0. This intersection is signalized. The frontage roads are fed by ramps,
and also handle the right turn from Capital Circle to SB 27:

The end of the line...
