Florida I-604 Florida Freeway 430 FL-430
Florida I-604
Daytona Beach, FL

Why this route? In short: Speeweeks, Spring Break, and Bike Week. Traffic on US-92 gets horrendous during these special events, but you almost have to take it. (To get to the speedway, you do have to take it.) I-604 would allow traffic leaving the speedway to go directly north on Bill France Blvd or Fentress Blvd, instead of having to take 92, and proceed north to 604, then head west and outta town. Connecting to FL-430 (Mason Ave/Seabreeze) also allows an alternate route to/from the beaches, the better for Breakers and Bikers.
